Our Story

Our journey began back in 2020 when our founders started working closely with leather factories and tanneries in India. As leather manufacturers, we recognised the potential in the materials that were being discarded from our factories every day. It made us pause. The fashion world was changing, and not always for the better. It was important for us to return to premium products and natural processes. From consciously-sourced organic leather to repurposed offcuts, we wanted every piece to be created thoughtfully and with intent.

We knew there had to be a better way with fresh, forward-thinking designs. And so, the idea of  écotorie took root.

Passionate to take this vision forward, we reached out to the creative director at our London studio, and we bonded over shared ideals of sustainability and premium products made with organic leather.

We had found a place to bring together our minds, values, and skills to create a brand where sustainability isn't an afterthought, but the starting point.

Our New Chapter in Conscious Fashion

The journey of making our products in a better and more sustainable way is a long one, and we’re just getting started. Everyday, we work towards being a more responsible business, committed to minimising our  impact.

How do we plan to achieve our goals? We at écotorie have a zero-waste policy.

We honour the full life of our materials by utilsing and upcycling even the smallest discarded trims to stitch together thoughtful pieces. Clean lines and simplicity define our designs, focusing on both form and function. To us, the inside of a bag deserves as much attention as the outside. Every detail matters.

Our designers are always looking for innovative ways to give life to discarded leather trims, reimagining their purpose as woven textures, layered panels, or decorative handles. We prefer minimal fittings, favouring quality leather handles that are sewn directly onto the bag. écotorie believes accessories should be comfortable, practical, and wearable without compromising on the aesthetics.

Each piece tells its own story where the quality and craftsmanship speak for themselves.

The Values That Shape Us

At écotorie, design means more than just how something looks. To us, fashion is about how things are made, who they are made by, and the impact we leave behind. Every piece we create is designed to last, crafted with care, and made to feel as good as it looks.

From consciously-sourced organic leather to repurposed offcuts, every material we use is given a second life.

This is our kind of luxury, and we invite you to be a part of it.

Preserving Nature

For us, sustainability isn’t an afterthought. It is woven into the very fabric of écotorie.  Our bags use 100% organic or vegetable-tanned leather which is sustainably sourced, eliminating toxic chemical exposure and reducing environmental impact. Designed to be natural and biodegradable, they leave no harmful trace behind.
